Ciao everyone
Today's history lesson is about..
POLKA DOTS
They began to appear in low-profile suggestions among the people of Medieval-Renaissance times...but were not widely accepted. This was mostly due to their similarity to measles and other such "incurable" illnesses that were not exactly the first thing every person wanted to be reminded of on a daily basis!
Eventually, at some point in the mid 1800's, a crazy type of dancing emerged on the scene: The Polka. This brought about a few inventions, which also followed after the name for the best-loved dance. All the new inventions were still no match for the memories of people among them.
However, one day a young, chipper character, by the name of MINNE MOUSE, was spotted showing off this fun design in the 1920's... and everyone LOVED them:)
Since then, they have been sported with pride by people young and old, ranging in importance from Marilyn Monroe to myself;)
Writing Prompt for the Day:
Invention of the pattern of the century....by you or a character or whoever you choose. How is it accepted? (Or why is it not?)
Ciao for now
